Residents of the current Viewpoint neighborhood participated in a plan update from 2007 to 2010. During the neighborhood planning process, residents supported changing the neighborhood name to Idylwood to foster neighborhood recognition along
with the neighborhood’s relationship to Idylwood Beach Park. Proposed via the neighborhood plan update, the change will take place based on the City Council’s approval and pending
