Environment Vision
Residents and businesses have identified Redmond's natural environment, including the Sammamish River and treed hillsides, as one of the aspects of the City they value the most. Redmond's plan is designed to protect the quality of streams, wetlands and other natural areas while accommodating anticipated levels of growth.

Before and After Trail

In 2001, the Sammamish River was beginning a rebirth of sorts. Over the next decade (and beyond) improvements would be made to the river and its banks to create a healthy environment for wildlife such as salmon, heron and the American eagle.
