E-Cycle Washington, a new program that started January 1st, allows easy and free recycling of televisions, computers and monitors in our state. Residents, small businesses, school districts, small government agencies and charities can bring television sets, computers (desktop and laptop) and monitors to participating E-Cycle Washington business to be recycled.
There is no fee for this service!

Please note: Keyboards, mice, printers, VCR/DVD players, cell phones and other electronics are not part of this program, but may be accepted and recycled for a fee at some sites. Working computers can be purchased by Computer Surplus located at 16715 Cleveland Street in Redmond, phone 425-497-1945.
Curbside Recycling
In addition to E-Cycle Washington, Redmond residents (within Redmond city limits) who have curbside garbage and recycling service can recycle many electronics at the curb for no additional charge. For electronics recycling at the curb residents must call Waste Management at least one day before their regular collection day at
1-800-592-9995.
Items to be picked up at the curb for
no additional fee include:
- Computer CPUs, monitors, laptops
- Keyboards, mice, speakers, cables, circuit boards
- PDA’s, MP3 players, calculators, other handheld electronics in clear plastic bags
- Cell phones in clear plastic bags
- Copy machines, scanners, printers
- VCR & DVD players; stereos
- TVs (limit 21” screen)

Dry out your latex paint!
King County’s Local Hazardous Waste Management Program Facilities (Factoria and the Wastemobile) do NOT accept latex paint.
To harden paint:
- Mix latex paint with an equal amount of kitty litter or paint hardener
- Stir in completely
- Let the paint dry. Once dry, put the can in your garbage container with the lid off
